These days if someone is wanting to make changes to their parenting I recommend Pam Leo’s Connection Parenting. If someone is the partner of someone who wants to make change then I would recommend Alfie Kohn’s Unconditional Parenting.
Kohn’s book presents a strong case, with well referenced research and in that sense presents a compelling argument for change. But it is Leo’s book that really rolls up its sleeves and gets down to work with parents – if used and engaged with it represents a powerful action plan complete with tools to make shifts. Arun,
Thank you so much for directing to this eye-opening site. Though i love my daughter dearly, i used to hit her and easily frustrated. By reading articles of Pam I realise where I am wrong and what i have to do. Thank you so much.
