I threw a pillow at my daughter. I feel ashamed and still angry so am cooling down reading Arun's soothing, inspiring and encouraging words. Will return to apologise and talk with her soon.”

“I am so tired of dreaming; it is time to live wide awake."
“Right now I am in bed.”
“Most people do not know that I have decided to move to Costa Rica.”
“I am passionate about mothering, and unschooling, and words.”
“Decades from now, when my children think of me, I hope that they remember how many times I kissed them, hugged them, told them I loved them. So much.”
“My soul feels warm and I have a big smile when I remember sitting at the picnic table with three other unschooling moms -- the first of their breed I'd met -- feeling like a round peg in a round hole for the first time in my life.”
“If I could go back in time and give one piece of advice to myself when I was 18 years old it would be to enjoy the sex; Catholic guilt about your intrinsic homosapienness is pointless ... entirely counterproductive.”
“I think that the most important thing about life is being willing to be sufficiently present that courage for the really meaningful stuff is right there. Right there. Not buried under a heap-o-disguise.”

“I am…a good mom”
“Right now I am in…a very comfortable chair”
“Most people do not know that I…am still afraid of the dark”
“I am passionate about…soup. Good soup, made with love, art and good quality ingredients nurtures the body, the soul, the family. It can bring friends together, it can heal the sick, it can build relationships. Making soup for people I love is good for my soul.”
“Decades from now, when my children think of me, I hope that they remember…my soup. Just jokes. I hope that they remember my love for them, that it never changes, is always there no matter what. Mom is always sanctuary”
“My soul feels warm and I have a big smile when I remember…my mom holding me and understanding when I just needed to cry, she always understood and accepted me, even when I didn't.”
“If I could go back in time and give one piece of advice to myself when I was 18 years old it would be to…love and accept myself as I am, it took me 40 years to learn that I'm a pretty good person after all.”
“I think that the most important thing about life is…being true to yourself and loving freely.”

“I am sitting at my kitchen table, drinking a cup of tea, hoping to find the definitive online resource (a fortune-teller perhaps?) that will tell me I've made the right choice in taking my son out of school and opting to unschool instead.”
“Right now I am in a state of severe parental angst.”
“Most people do not know that I used to bellydance at a Morroccan restaurant and that my son is named after Jerry Garcia.”
“I am passionate about good books and creme brulee.”
“Decades from now, when my children think of me, I hope that they remember how much fun we had together.”
“My soul feels warm and I have a big smile when I remember the sound of my son's laughter--oh, and him as a three year old insisting to everyone we met that his name was Batman.”
“If I could go back in time and give one piece of advice to myself when I was 18 years old it would be to lose society's definition of happiness and success. I'd say life should be about creating a definition all my own and then living it.”
“I think that the most important thing about life is the sun, the rain, the smell of sage, holding hands, laughing, the sound of the waves hitting the shore, hugs, friends, family....I could go on forever! Maybe it's best just to say the most important thing about life is to enjoy it.”

“I am just discovering your fabulous blog and I'm living intentionally and trying to be who I really want to be”

“Right now I am in my quiet living room listening to Pink Martini while dh and dd1 are working out and dd2 is playing with friends - yea - oh, it was fleeting - dd2 just came in and turned the the TV…”

“Most people do not know that I was a CPA (wow - now that was a totally different life…”

“I am passionate about living intentionally, unschooling, the environment, helping people see that they have choices and they are making them even when they don't think they are…”

“Decades from now, when my children think of me, I hope that they remember that they are worthy…”

“My soul feels warm and I have a big smile when I remember all the wonderful time dd1 and I spent together when she was really little…”

“If I could go back in time and give one piece of advice to myself when I was 18 years old it would be to not worry about being right. Connections and relationships are the most important things in life.”

“Right now I am in a process of focusing on attending the moment ”

“Most people do not know that I am in a spiritual process ”

“I am passionate about establishing a community that will gather unschoolers ,will live on the same land and support the children and parents on this path .
My practical vision is a communal workshops for art and crafts, carpentry , music and movement , library, computers for the joy of everyone, communal dinners occasionally ,and bottom line : communal fire !! , by all meanings”

Here they are:

“I am…” holding my sleeping 9mo daughter as I type

“Right now I am in…” love with this life we've created

“Most people do not know that I…” crave dunkin donuts when pregnant

“I am passionate about…” fighting nuclear-family-isolation by creating/nurturing tribes

“Decades from now, when my children think of me, I hope that they remember…” that I loved them & loved life & fought for their right to live a life full of personal meaning

“My soul feels warm and I have a big smile when I remember…” birthing my daughter in my living room illuminated only by the lights of the Christmas tree

“If I could go back in time and give one piece of advice to myself when I was 18 years old it would be to…” not give up...life will, someday, be heartachingly beautiful & worth it...

“I think that the most important thing about life is…” to make no decisions from a place of fear.

“I am… a mama, a researcher, a writer, and impatient and trying not to be about the future.

Right now I am in… Brisbane

Most people do not know that I… have a tatoo of a butterfly on my butt. My baby girl Adiva loves to talk to the butterfly while we're in the shower together - just me, Adiva and Butterfly.

I am passionate about…writing, my baby, living in wellness, organics, and finding out all I can about pre-conception care at the moment (I'm committed to having a few months without vomiting). I want someone to say 'Gee you're glowing!'.

Decades from now, when my children think of me, I hope that they remember…showers with me and my Butterfly, connection, fun, freedom and love.

“My soul feels warm and I have a big smile when I remember… living in Jackson, Wyoming in Fall with the colourful Aspen leaves, Elk, Bison, and plenty of frosty walks with my parter by the Snake River.

“If I could go back in time and give one piece of advice to myself when I was 18 years old it would be to… always trust and follow your intuition.
