attachment parenting cartoon

attachment parent cartoon
This cartoon came from direct experience. People around us are often commenting on our attachment parenting approach… although to be fair it is usually out of sincere concern where as the cartoon depicts anger & hostility. What really gets me is at the end of the day they invariably comment how happy our baby is and how content he seems. Who would not be happy and content? He is either asleep on me or on my partners boob!

Attachment parenting – what a tirad of disapproval and tut-tutting
went on when 30 years ago I decided to carry my baby in a sling, sleep with him, and give him free access to the breast. Every malady from bandy legs to homosexuality was diagnosed all within my hearing. i stayed strong through all of the disapproval and my son met all his mile stones, weaned himself slowly by age 2 years, and without need for bottles of formula. He toilet trained himself by 18 months. He left home at 17 years to go surfing and travel the world with only a back pack and a camera. He now is a freelance videographer and owns his own company. My only regret is that he was not homeschooled.

    Hello,
Your cartoon is great! I made the same experiences!
I would like to use your cartoon for my own homepage in the “link” or “information about carrying babies” section. Is that ok?
Would you please allow me to translate the speech bubbles into German?

    Greetings from Germany
    Isabell
